E-STEM Environment and Science Festival in Ukraine

As part of the ‘Empowering Children for Environmental Sustainability through E-STEM – ecosySTEM’ project, our project partner, the Ukrainian Association of Business Support Centres (UABSC), organised the National E-STEM Environment and Science Festival in Ukraine.

The children were taken to the coastal area where the environmental clean-up campaign was to take place. Within this activity, Following the field activity, a “Waste to Art” creative workshop was organized using the collected waste materials. A total of ten student projects, which reached the final stage following the Design Thinking and Project Development process as part of the E-STEM educational activities, were exhibited and presented to the public by the participating children. Three of these were selected by the jury to take part in the International Environment and Science Festival to be organised in Greece.

The festival brought together children, their families, teachers, local stakeholders and members of the community.
